It's with great pleasure that we invite you to a free English-guided tour of Museum Hilversum on Saturday, December 16, at 11 a.m. The tour is suitable for all and centered around our latest exhibitions: Remembering MandelaWinnaars Het Perfecte PlaatjeCollection Presentation, and Inner Journey.

During the tour, you will discover more about the museum, and its history and dive into its diverse and fascinating programming through four different exhibitions.

Through the work of photographers Ilvy Njiokiktjie and Gideon Medel, as well as the contributions by German journalists Bartholomäus Grill and Fritz Schaap (newspaper der Spiegel), Remembering Mandela retraces moments of the life of Nelson Mandela, of grief and mourning after his death, and the current situation in South Africa.

Downstairs, In Winnaars Het Perfecte Plaatje, the winners of the summer and autumn editions of the show will exhibit their best photos and combine them with behind-the-scenes photos.

In Inner Journey, the photographer Marvel Harris invites us to dive into his world through profound and intimate self-portraits, while charting his experiences around gender identity, self-love, and mental health.

Lastly, Museum Hilversum presents a selection from its collection, consisting of news and documentary photographs put into dialogue with each other, to reflect on current social developments.

The tour is free with the purchase of an entrance ticket (free with Museumkaart). You can book it here:
